Beth Montague-Hellen is a Senior Research Librarian at the University of Nottingham, having responsibility for Engineering and Research Data Management.

Beth initially worked in the fields of bioinformatics and evolution for 10 years. Following a career change she worked part time at the University of Sheffield as a Research Services Librarian while studying an MSc in Digital Library Management (also at the University of Sheffield). After working as the Systems Librarian at Bishop Grosseteste University for 9 months, Beth moved to the University of Nottingham

Along side her academic work, Beth has been involved with a number of outreach and career development projects: ECRchat, Ignite Sheffield, LGBTSTEM, and is a Data Carpentry Instructor. She is always keen to talk about exciting new projects!

Beth lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, with her wife. She officiates Roller Derby and spends as much time at her allotment as possible.
